Unemployment Insurance Agency Reportedly Working on Fraud Claims

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Michigan's Unemployment Insurance Agency says identity theft victims will not lose wages over unemployment benefits they didn't receive or apply for.

Greg Glover, who lives in Rockford, said he was among those who got a call from the agency last week.

"I never thought I'd be so excited to get a call from the unemployment agency,” Rockford's Greg Glover told WOOD-TV.

Glover said he's been trying to resolve his case with the UIA for months.

Several area public school workers have been targeted in the scheme.
