Ottawa Co. receives 21 COVID-19 vaccine shipments that are unusable

Ottawa County Health officials say around 1,600 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine arrived spoiled.

The shipment arrived with a temperature monitoring device saying the vaccine had gotten too cold to use.

No appointments are being cancelled due to the shipment.

A spokesperson for the health department said this is a good example of why some places are not scheduling appointments until they have received doses.

Replacement shipments are expected to arrive soon.
