The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services confirmed 2,843 cases of COVID-19 over a two day period.
The state also recorded 20 deaths over the weekend.
On Saturday, state labs tested at a positivity rate of 6.15 percent.
Labs tested at a positivity rate of 6.41 percent on Sunday.
Kent County confirmed an additional 243 cases over the weekend and no deaths.
