SPARTA (WOOD-AM) - A woman will not serve jail time after embezzling $75,000 from the Sparta Sports Boosters organization over a two-year period.
As part of a deal with prosecutors, Helen Yates was given a two-year probation sentence and will be required to pay the money back.
Yates said she had bills to repay and was depressed.
