Capitol Commission Bans Open Carry Firearms

LANSING, Mich. - On Monday, the Michigan State Capitol Commission voted unanimously to ban the open carry of firearms inside the State Capitol.

The issue arose once again following last week's riot at the U.S. Capitol. It was initially considered last year after protesters made their way into the State Capitol in regards to COVID-19 restrictions during the pandemic.
