KALAMAZOO (WOOD-AM) - Alcohol from businesses can now be consumed at Bronson Park in Kalamazoo.
City commissioners voted last night to expand its Downtown Central Commons Refreshment Area to include the park.
It wasn't in the November expansion because of a city ordinance which prohibits drinking in parks.
Packaged alcohol is still disallowed. The liquor must be consumed from special plastic cups.
