A man is dead after an incident in his parents home in Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo County sheriff's deputies say the incident started around 7 a.m. when they received a call saying a suicidal man was armed with a knife.
Michigan State Police say the call was made by the man's parents who were stabbed with a knife.
Police attempted to use a taser on the suspect but it did not work.
A deputy pulled his gun in self-defense.
MSP say the veteran deputy shot and killed the man.
His parents are currently in the hospital, with one in serious condition.
