Spectrum Doctor Doing Well After Taking Day-One Pfizer Vaccine

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - One of the first Spectrum Health staffers to get the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine says he's feeling "totally fine" one day after taking the shot.

"I have a little bit of a sore arm where the injection was given, very similar to any other vaccine," pulmonologist Marc McClelland told WOOD-TV. "Otherwise, no symptoms."

Spectrum was the first medical facility in the state to start administering the vaccine. As of yesterday, 150 vaccines had been given at at Spectrum Butterworth. The goal is to vaccinate around 6,000 staff members weekly.
