Relief program for MI small businesses flooded with applications

The Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Program began accepting applications at 9 a.m.

As of 12:30, over 2,700 applications had been submitted with another 16,000 in progress.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation says they expect to close the online applications by the end of the day.

The number of applicants is 28 times the number of businesses the program will be able to help, if each award winner is given the maximum of $15,000.
