Growing Tent Residents to be Taken in by Emergency Shelter

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - To help give emergency shelter of homeless residents, a public-private coalition with Mel Trotter Ministries is being to set up to house up to 100 adults on any given night.

Work has begun to change the leased space at 250 Ionia Avenue into a warming center and overnight shelter. Organizers hope to have the emergency shelter running by the end of the week.
