Michigan's Presidential Electors to Cast Votes in Lansing on Monday

LANSING (WOOD-AM) - Michigan's 16 presidential electors meet today in Lansing to formally cast their votes for president.

Both the state House and Senate office buildings will be closed today due to security threats. The Capitol will also be closed.

The event will be livestreamed. It's scheduled to start around 2 p.m.

It's expected that Joe Biden will receive at total of 306 electoral college votes today. It takes 270 to clinch the presidency.
