MDHHS extended COVID-19 restrictions

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services are announcing a 12 day extension of the latest COVID-19 restrictions.

The order will last through December 20th as officials watch for cases to fall, percentage of hospital beds filled with covid-19 patients to fall and the positivity rate of cases to fall.

MDHHS Director Robert Gordon says while some progress has been made it is not enough to lift the restrictions.

Michigan announced 9,350 more cases and 93 deaths from over the weekend.
