MUSKEGON (WOOD-AM) - The number of deaths in Muskegon County from COVID-19 essentially doubled in November.
Health officials say 96 coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Muskegon County last month. 183 people have died from COVID-19 in the county since the start of the pandemic.
"A doubling of deaths is actually, from a relative perspective, pretty good," Dr. Justin Grill, chief medical officer of Mercy Health Muskegon, told WOOD-TV. "Our cases went up by four to five times, but our deaths only doubled."
