1 The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied on Tuesday, breaking above 30,000 for the first time amid positive vaccine news, hope for a strong economic recovery in 2021 and easing of political uncertainty as the Trump administration approved the start of the presidential transition.

2 Police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital early Wednesday morning. It happened near the Fairfield Inn on Stahl Drive SE, not far from other businesses along 28th Street. It's not clear yet what led to the shooting and police do not have any suspects.

3 John James conceded Tuesday night to Sen. Gary Peters. The announcement came a day after the Board of State Canvassers certified Michigan's results.
