Ford Airport Preparing for Holiday Travel Ahead of Thanksgiving

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - It has been a rough year at the Ford International Airport outside Grand Rapids, but officials there say they're expecting the facility to see decent-sized crowds for Thanksgiving.

GRR saw 145,000 passengers in October, which is down 50 percent from 2019, but still remains above the industry average for passengers this year.

Sanitary efforts have been increased, with added sanitation stations and free masks. High-touch areas are also getting disinfected more frequently.
