1 Officials in Wayne County refused to certify the results of the Nov. 3 election after local representatives on the Board of Canvassers deadlocked in a 2-2 vote, sending the votes to state authorities for canvassing.
2 The latest emergency order from the Governor and the MDHHS went into effect at midnight. The order enacts a three-week pause on indoor social gatherings and other group activities in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
3 The Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association sued on Tuesday in hopes of stopping the ban on indoor dining that comes from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's administration response to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases.
