Schools, Businesses Prepare for Three-Week Partial Lockdown

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Preparations are being made at schools and businesses for the governor's three-week partial lockdown.

It comes at a time where businesses are still trying to recover from the economic effects of the prior lockdown.

"We can make it another few months, but if this goes on until next summer, it's going to be tough," Mark Sellers, who owns Max's South Seas Hideaway, tells WOOD-TV. "The (Paycheck Protection Program) loans that were given out in April and May really did help. They had a huge impact. Pretty much every restaurant is done with that now."

The restrictions take effect Wednesday.
