Grand Rapids Community College is testing an over-the-counter spray that aims to slow the spread of COVID-19.
David Edwards, a former Harvard researcher, began his studies at GRCC years ago.
He brought his product, FEND, to the school to test.
FEND works by using a saline solution to decrease droplet particles in our breath that carry viruses such as COVID-19.
The salt in the solution calms airways so the particles are formed less.
