On Tuesday, 21-year-old Tyrese Mauricio Baker pleaded guilty to domestic violence and reckless driving causing serious injury.
Victim Alexa Sandoval says she and a friend were getting a ride from Baker.
He stopped the car around Byron Center Avenue and 36th Street.
Sandoval started to get out of the car when Baker grabbed her backpack and started driving.
She says she tried to run alongside the car until he sped up and she was dragged.
