Versiti Blood Centers of Michigan is asking patients who have recovered from COVID-19 to donate plasma.
The plea comes as cases and hospitalizations reach record numbers across the state.
Convalescent plasma is a therapy that used COVID-19 antibodies to treat patients with severe cases.
The center says they have met the hospital's needs so far but that need has doubled in the last month.
