GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Construction on the new Grand Rapids Home for Veterans is getting closer to completion, officials said.
"It’s gonna be night and day," spokesperson for Michigan Veteran Homes Fred Schaible told WOOD-TV. "Our existing facility, the most recent one, was built in the late '80s."
Schaible says the new state-of-the-art home is "about at the two-thirds" mark.
Work should be done next spring.
