COVID-19 test times increase as cases spike

The Kent County Health Department says one out of every 10 people being tested in the county is testing positive.

Epidemiologist Brian Hartl says the area is averaging 400 cases every day.

Kent County has been averaging over 4,000 tests everyday.

Hartl says wait times to get tested have gone up but that is not altering the time to get results back.

He says people are getting tested and then continuing to go to work or school until they get the positive result.
