Cornerstone University President Dr. Joseph M. Stowell will step done from his role in May 2021.
He will transition to President Emeritus after serving as president since 2008.
During his time as president, the university added nursing and engineering as undergraduate programs, restructured academic leadership and invested $40 million in campus improvements.
The Cornerstone Board of Trustees will appoint a committee to transition to the next president of the university.
