How Joe Biden or Donald Trump reach 270 electoral votes and the White House

With many states still counting remaining ballots Thursday, two days after Election Day, Democratic nominee Joe Biden sat just shy Thursday of the electoral votes needed to win the White House.

Even as votes are counted in undecided states, the paths both Biden and President Donald Trump have to the 270 electoral vote threshold that would earn them the presidency.

As of Thursday morning, the presidential race seemed to come down to a handful of states classified as either too close or too early to call: Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Nevada and Alaska.
