COVID-19 spike: Spectrum near capacity

Spectrum Health says their facilities are near capacity as COVID-19 cases spike.

Spectrum says as of Thursday, there are 217 COVID-19 patients admitted across all facilities, which is double the hospitalizations the facility had during the May spike.

Dr. Joshua Kooistra says the system is currently seeing case positivity rates of 14%.

The health department considers community spread controlled at 3%.
