CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — On the final day of campaigning, President Donald Trump is set to spend the final hours of the 2020 presidential election in metro Grand Rapids.

The President will be at Gerald R. Ford International Airport at 10:30 p.m. tonight. AvFlight,a private tenant of the airport, is hosting the event. The airport said last week that it reminded AvFlight to follow state and federal health guidelines, including the state limit on gatherings.

His campaign organizers say supporters may arrive as early as 7:30 p.m. Online registration is available. The event will be live streamed on woodtv.com. and carried live on WOOD Radio.

His schedule also shows Trump making several other campaign stops earlier in the day, including in Traverse City at 5 p.m. Vice President Mike Pence will also join Trump in Traverse City and metro Grand Rapids.

Political observers say with 16 electoral votes up for grabs, Michigan is considered a key win in the path to the White House.
