LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — Administration officials say Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and other state leaders will hold a press conference about the election today.

Michigan's Governor will be joined by her Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and Attorney General Dana Nessel to discuss the coordinated efforts to ensure an orderly election.

On Tuesday, secretary of State Benson announced that a record 2.1 million ballots had already been cast absentee in Michigan.
