School in Ottawa Co. Ordered to Stop 'Willful Failure' Amid COVID Spread

BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A final cease-and-desist order has been placed by the Ottawa County Department of Public Health on a Hudsonville area school for refusing to wear face masks and practice proper social distancing amid a COVID-19 outbreak.

Libertas Christian School has been accused by the health department of "willful failure" to notify people who may have been exposed to coronavirus, and not requiring students and staff to follow mandates provided by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

UPDATE: The school has officially closed, indefinitely.
