UPDATE: One killed, one injured in early Friday Jenison crash

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — UPDATE: Ottawa County Sheriff deputies say an 88-year-old man has died from his injuries after a wrong-way crash in Jenison Friday morning.

The deputies told News 8 that 88 year-old Leslie Snider, of Jenison, was driving west in a Toyota Sienna in the eastbound lanes of Chicago Drive near Cottonwood Drive around 7:20 a.m. when he hit an eastbound Honda CRV head-on, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said he was pinned in his minivan and had to be rescued before he was taken to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The driver the second vehicle, a 27-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
