After roughly 8 months of the pandemic impacting the country, the U.S. coronavirus death toll, hit 200,000 on Tuesday
Officials with Johns Hopkins University confirmed Tuesday that the latest data indicated the total number of fatalities reached 200,005, while the total number of cases nears 7 million.
A spokesperson with Johns Hopkins University also noted there are more than 31 million confirmed cases globally and a total of 965,893 fatalities.
