Absentee ballots will be counted after election day

Today, Court of Claims Judge Cynthia Stephens ruled that envelopes postmarked by the eve of the Nov. 3 election are eligible to be counted, even if they arrive days after Election Day.

Stephens said that the evidence in this case is a reminder that the mail system is still experiencing heavy delays and uncertainty amid the pandemic.
