Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert said Friday that it will be “well into 2021” before the country returns to a level of normality resembling pre-coronavirus times.
Fauci said during an interview on MSNBC, “If you're talking about getting back to a degree of normality which resembles where we were prior to COVID[-19], it's going to be well into 2021, maybe even towards the end of 2021.”
He made he comment when asked by Andrea Mitchell when people will be able to go to a movie theater without wearing masks. Fauci noted a theater is a high-risk environment, given that it is indoors and closed off.
