1 The Big Ten and Pac-12 won't play football this fall because of concerns about COVID-19, taking two of college football's five power conferences out of a crumbling season amid the pandemic. All fall sports in the Big Ten have been canceled and a spring season will be explored. The Pac-12 said its season would be postponed until spring. 

2 Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Payne has formally presented his plan to transform policing to city leaders. The plan is focused around neighborhood policing, and would work to find alternative ways to respond to certain calls that don't require officers. Community reaction was mixed at Tuesday night's city commission meeting. 

3 The ticket is set. Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has picked Sen. Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate, ending months of speculation.
