LANSING (WOOD-AM) - A vocal supporter of a petition drive to strip the governor of her emergency powers has tested positive for coronavirus.
State Sen. Tom Barrett, R-Charlotte, learned his diagnosis over the weekend.
In a statement, he said he'll be "self-isolating according to medical guidelines."
He also said he's done his best to contact everyone he's been near over the past few weeks.
