Prosecutors charge Fremont Public Schools employee with embezzlement

FREMONT, Mich. (WOOD) — Prosecutors say a payroll employee with Fremont Public schools accused of embezzling thousands from the district has been charged with two felonies.

The suspect, Jennifer Kraus, was arraigned Thursday morning on embezzlement of more than $50,000 or more but less than $100,000 and using a computer to commit a crime.

Kraus could face 15 years and 10 years in prison, respectively.

She is currently out on bond.
