Michigan's Secretary of State Benson updates voters on August 4 primary

by: NEWS 8

(WOODTV) — Michigan’s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is asking state residents who are voting an absentee ballot to return it to their local clerk’s office or drop box.

Benson is urging this step instead of using the mail to assure that all votes are properly tabulated in the upcoming statewide primary August 4th.

Secretary Benson offered the specific voter guidance on Tuesday, and stressed that ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Night to be counted.

Voters can find a list of drop boxes here: online.
