All-New Tesla Cybertruck to be built in new Texas plant

Austin, Texas, has been chosen by Tesla as the site of its next U.S. factory.

Tesla's goal is to have it up and running by the end of next year. The facility will produce the Model 3, Model Y and, perhaps most importantly, the Cybertruck.

The country’s largest market for pickups is Texas, so building the Tesla Cybertruck there may give it some extra cred on the open range.

As of now, the only other pickups built in the Lone Star state are the Toyota Tacoma and Tundra.

The Cybertruck will be offered at a starting price of $39,990 for a single-motor, two-wheel-drive model with 250 miles of range.

Tesla will sell a top of the line Cybertruck for $69,990 . It will be tri-motor, all-wheel-drive, and will be have a 500 mile range, plus tow capacity over 14,000 pounds, according to the automaker.
