Health department data: MI records 390 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Health Department officials said the latest state data shows Michigan now has confirmed 390 more cases of the coronavirus and recorded one more deaths linked to virus,

The state has recorded a total number of 69,338 confirmed cases and 6,068 deaths linked to the virus since the outbreak began in March. This according to data released by the state Sunday.

Health department data also shows 53,867 people in Michigan have recovered from the virus, meaning they are still alive a month after developing symptoms.

Overall, Michigan has seen a rise in cases over the past couple of weeks, with the Grand Rapids region seeing the highest rate of new cases in the state.
