President Trump commutes Roger Stone's prison sentence

President Trump has commuted the sentence of his former campaign adviser Roger Stone.

The White House announced Friday that the president had signed an Executive Grant of Clemency commuting Stone's sentence.

The move came just days before Stone was set to report to prison after being convicted of obstruction, witness tampering, and lying to congress in relation to the Mueller investigation in November 2019. Stone's conviction still stands, but he has appealed it and denies any wrongdoing.
