JOHN'S HOPKINS DATA: US COVID-19 cases hit highest level since April

New data from Johns Hopkins University shows he daily number of new COVID-19 cases in the U.S. is now the highest it has been since the height of the pandemic two months ago, as several states around the country experience spikes in cases.

According to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.Tuesday numbers showed 34,700 new cases of coronavirus were reported,

Their online coronavirus tracker shows only two other days in which more new cases of the virus were recorded: April 9 and 24.

Data also showed that New York, the former epicenter of the virus in the country, has seen a steady decrease in its cases. But states that began their reopening process earlier, including Arizona, Florida, Texas and California, all saw their worst days to date on Tuesday.
