West MI based NASCAR radio announcer comments on Confederate Flag Ban

Jeff Striegle who is a lap by lap announcer for the Motor Racing Network said that the Confederate Flag ban by NASCAR was overdue.

NASCAR first addressed the issue in 2015 after mass murderer Dylan Roof killed nine black churchgoers in South Carolina when pictures of Roof had him with the Confederate Flag. They encouraged fans not to bring Confederate Flags to the races.

Striegle says most fans support the decision even though one part time Gander Truck Series driver did not support the ban.
