Trees Downed, Thousands Still Powerless Following Stormy Weather

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - The cleanup continues throughout the lower peninsula following stormy weather yesterday.

Consumers Energy says thousands remain without power this morning. Some in the hardest-hit areas may not get their electricity back until the weekend.

"We’ve got people working around the clock," Morgenstern told WOOD-TV. "We do have hundreds of downed wires across West Michigan, so that takes a while to get all that literally untangled and put back up."
