State officials confirm just 129 new cases of COVID-19, 17 new deaths

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — That are released Monday showed Michigan has recorded 17 additional deaths linked to coronavirus and confirmed another 129 cases.

State officials said that brings bring the total number of confirmed deaths to 5,673 deaths and the total number of cases since March to 58,999

In West Michigan, there were three more deaths in Kent County for a total of 100. The county has had 3,954 cases.

Health departments in Muskegon and Ottawa counties each recorded one more death for totals of 40 and 43, respectively. Muskegon County has had 697 cases and Ottawa County 824 cases.
