Flooding Seen in Saugatuck's Downtown Business District

SAUGATUCK (WOOD-AM) - The Kalamazoo River has flooded portions of Saugatuck's downtown area.

"This is a double whammy," Mayor Ken Trester tells WOOD-TV. "With the steps we’ve had to put in place with the COVID situation along with flooding here, it has been really tough on our business community."

The city is still rolling out its flood prevention plan, which was passed by city councilors just before the flooding began.
