U.S. Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) Holds Town Hall In Grand Rapids, Michigan

DETROIT– Third congressional district congressman Justin Amash announced Saturday that he's dropping out of the 2020 presidential race as a third-party candidate.

In a Tweet from earlier Saturday, Amash said, “After much reflection, I’ve concluded that circumstances don’t lend themselves to my success as a candidate for president this year, and therefore I will not be a candidate."

Earlier this month, Amash announced his bid to be a third-party, Libertarian candidate during an interview on CNN.
