GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Get ready for the big chill, as the coldest air mass in decades is ready to descend over the Great Lakes this weekend. You can follow those wind arrows right from the North Pole.
And today, we join 1945, 1947, 1954 and 1980 for years that also received a trace of snow on May 8th. This is a fairly rare event when you have to go back to 40 years the last time it has happened. Even more impressive is the 1-4 inches of snow that has fallen in and around Marquette.
