In Kent County, Latino people have a higher rate of getting Covid-19

One part of the population in Kent County is getting the coronavirus at a higher rate than others.

Dr. Brian Hartl, supervising epidemiologist for the Kent County Health Department told our partners at News 8, “About 10% of our population here in Kent County is Hispanic, but to date, about 30% of our COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in those who are Hispanic.”

Also African Americans are 20 percent of the infections in Kent County.
