Local Restaurant-Owners Worried About Post-Shutdown Survival

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Local restaurateurs say they're concerned about not being able to rebound once the governor lifts her restrictions on bar and dine-in restaurant service.

“We didn’t know if this was going to be for two weeks, three weeks or four months. We still don’t know, so it’s kind of scary,” Restaurant Partners Management President Jeff Lobdell tells WOOD-TV.

Lobdell says he's using this down time to prepare his establishments for a broader reopening. He owns five restaurants in Traverse City and 15 in Grand Rapids. Currently, only two remain open: The Beltline Bar and Bagel Beanery.
