(WOODTV) Republicans in Michigan's House and Senate announced that they will gather on Friday with the goal of passing legislation designed to limit the emergency powers of governor Gretchen Whitmer as well as introduce a special community to oversee Michigan's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If successful the move would be seen as a dramatic strike against the governor's powers during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
