 Crews are looking a 16-year-old girl who was swept off of a pier at Holland State Park and into Lake Michigan Wednesday night.

Ottawa County Dispatch says it happened around 11:30 p.m. The boy was able to get out of the water on his own. However, crews have not yet been able to located the girl.

Waves in the area are five to ten feet high and moving north, which is making the search process difficult, authorities said.

Authorities in Ottawa County are searching for 18-year-old Hunter Klompstra. He's from Coopersville and hasn't been seen or heard from since early New Year's Day.

While the rest of the country was celebrating the New Year, 750 Fort Bragg Soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division were deploying to Iraq. 

President Trump has ordered over 700 soldiers to the Middle East after the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
